Background:

Content authoring and asset management used to be time-consuming and error-prone due to the manual processes involved. To improve the workflow and address the pain points, we conducted several rounds of post-it and card-sorting sessions with the content team to understand their needs.

Solution:

The new WYSIWYG editor allows content authors to easily preview the content as it would appear to students, thereby reducing errors. It also provides authors with the flexibility to quickly build their instructions using blocks, while a robust media editor better supports their video tutorials.

Outcome:

Although the design I created for this project was not ultimately implemented, it remains one of my favorite projects. I have worked with many authoring tools, and this one was particularly challenging and enjoyable due to its complex math formulas and media support.
